Mini DV from camcorder to Hard drive...

I have the "firewire" and the Buscard adapter and I finally found a program that will allow me to copy my Mini-DV's to my computer.
I now have some older Analog 8MM tapes that I'd like to transfer. Does anyone know how I can get an anolog tape conent into my computer? Is there a card or adapter that will allow me to input through old fashion AV cables? Or...do I have to find some way to copy them into digital?
There are many people out there with old analog video tapes and I'd like any advice on how to copy it into my 'puter.
