my computer did an automatic update the night before last and when I came back to it - I couldn't get my outlook express to work properly.  
 
I sat up until 5 am this morning trying to fix things and nothing worked. I think I may even be in worse shape now than I was yesterday!!  
 
I can open the program, I can recieve messages -but I can't open them. I can open my folders and I can change my options etc on teh tool bar - but I can't open my address book.  
 
I get an error that says the address book is installed incorrectly.  
 
I also get a message that says it is configured incorrectly and needs to be re-installed.  
 
Well, you can't just find Outlook Express online and re=install it!!  
 
I got instructions and went into the registry files and re-installed: didn't work. I re=installed IE 7 because it comes with it: didn't work. I've tried several system restores going back a month: didn't work. I even downloaded a couple of different registry scanner/cleaner/fix programs: didn't work. If anything it seems as though my internet is slower today.  
 
I'm out of ideas other than a full system restor and I dont' want to do that - it's just SO much work.  
 
Where is a good, fast place to take it to and have the pros do it?? I feel like picking this thing up and smashing it right now!!
