Hey All,  
 
I'm looking for some ideas for designing web sites using Windows. I have been using a Mac for my sites for the last 10 years and I have a co-worker who is going to be setting up a site but she uses Windows. I personally do not have much working experience with a lot of the web site design software on Windows so I thought I'd post here and see if anyone knows of some good Windows alternatives. I know that Adobe and Microsoft have great tools but we are trying to do this at a very low cost so they are not options right now.  
 
We have a site that uses CSS and a MySQL database.  
 
We need the following tools:  
 
CSS editor - I use BBEdit and Texteditor for Mac - Is Notepad the best option for Windows?  
MySQL manager - I use CocoaMySQL on Mac  
HTML Editor - Is NVU the best free option?  
FTP program - I use CyberDuck for Mac  
 
Are there some free open source options out there? Do you have any experience using the programs in the past?
