I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 installed and I had reserved my free Windows 10 upgrade and in doing so I started the upgrade process last night from the Microsoft Icon on my taskbar. It was doing well last night but waking this morning it is still sitting at 32% of the download, so I'm thinking that it is in a frozen mode. I'm no savy techy but would like some help as to what I should do because I don't want to loose my Windows 7 if there is a severe problem with Windows 10 installation. I have read allot of complaints on the internet from various people that are having issues as well. Should I just try to shut it down or give it another day to see if it does anything else.

Looks like there were lots of people having issues with the upgrade freezing at 25%. Here is an article on it

In the article it states that a hard re-boot should roll your Windows version back to your previous version.

Is that a little irony for you or what?

it is just in the download mode still you should be able to cancel it. Then goto https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and at the bottom is the media creation tool for 32bit and 64bit OS. Select the one you want to use, run it and you can do an in place upgrade or create a bootable DVD or USB drive. I did the USB drive option and once it is done you run the setup on the USB and it will install the upgrade for you. You will always have it for future use as well.

Windows is garbage! Do yourselves a favor and switch over to Mac!!
