Looking to change up how my advertising dollars are spent.

I second Reaxion Graphics as well. Have worked with them for 3 years.

When it comes down to it, look at the developers portfolio's to see what design choices, site feel you like the most.  
 
You could also consider trying to talk to a the company who had their sites built by the developer to see what the relationship was with the dev.  
 
That being said in my experiences I've had nothing but an enjoyable, timely and professional time working with Scott from Reaxxion, and Kahn O'Leary previously mentioned.  
 
Leechprinting does some of the best work I've seen from this area.

I also recommend Scott at Reaxion. He has done 4 or 5 websites for me. All different.  
 
He is easy to work with, makes changes when necessary and has no problem letting me have editing access to change the things that I can.

I've checked your website and it looks dated IMHO. Also, you shouldn't display your email address but rather, use an online entry form. This way, you don't have to show your email addr to prevent spamming, and also if anyone wants to email you, your PC or smartphone don't have to "run" an external application on your PC/smartphone.  
An online entry form can also be customized to go to several email addr or to reply with a msg indicating your email has been received. I see you do have a form under Contact but it should have a captcha.  
Your website is also not mobile friendly. These day and age, you would want to consider having a website that display your content differently if opened from a smartphone or tablet.  
Do you also know how and when your visitors visit your website and from which part of the world? These stats might help you with your marketing and what content to display to your viewers.

Websites are updated all in their own time - you'll run yourself ragged finding sites that aren't designed "responsive" right now or show their age. Businesses are still in a transition between non-mobile and mobile friendly sites as they update and work it into their marketing budget. In the meantime, a non-mobile friendly site can trump a mobile friendly site if it delivers what the visitor needs as far as information. Content first!

Thanks very much for the kind words. eBrandon is a full time gig and so I haven't taken on design clients for a little while now but I really appreciate the thought!  
 
Lots of design talent in the city. One spot I'd recommend the OP try is placing a Wanted ad in the classifieds where I'm sure you'll connect with some of that talent. I've seen Scott at Reaxion mentioned above. I've done quite a bit of work with Scott and would also definitely suggest having him on your list of folks to chat with about what you're looking to do!
