none local

I had a very bad experience dealing with local electronics repair shops and retailers lately trying to find capacitors locally. I Gave-up on keeping my dollar local for this project,as much as I hate to send away for things that ought to be available here.
DigiKey is so far the cheapest place I could find online for getting these small parts. They are all comparable for the actual price, but it's the SHIPPING that gets you!! DigiKey has flat rate $8 up to $200 order value, then free, by far the cheapest I've found.
It's a major PAIN to actually order from there, but worth the effort.
Here's some hints:
-create an account.
-click on the products.
-select capacitors, aluminum capacitors(presumably, there's some other types that's up to you)
-choose the cut-tape packaging(so you don't have to order a minimum of like 2000 capacitors)
-select your desired values for voltage, capacitance, temperature rating, through-hole mounting from the lists across the screen.
-click on "apply filters"
-choose an appropriate unit based on your desired reliability rating, brand and price from the many capacitors meeting your specs by clicking on it's part number. Then enter a quantity and add it to your shopping cart.
after it's in your cart(45 second delay to display your item in the cart *you must wait for the list to appear*), click on products, and start again to add any additional items. clicking the back button will loose your shopping cart.
Good luck
