losing names in text messages

I am using an Iphone 6 plus and just recently have lost the names in my text messages, only the phone number is there. Anyone have a fix for this?

They came and went for me yesterday too, not sure why but it seemed to straighten itself out... try resetting your phone maybe will help.

I also have an iPhone and mine was doing this, it sorted itself out, I think when a text was sent to or from the contact the name would show up, otherwise it was the # and when opened the picture or the initials of the username were at the top.
