Well. If you are watching movies all the time, each movie is about 750mb to 1.5gb on average...hd movies could be up to 4gb each.  
Netflix can also eat up your data plan but you can go into the Netflix settings and lower it to a lesser quality picture and that would help.

If you are watching a lot of HD video that will eat up bandwidth.

I'm presuming that you are checking your data usage fairly regularly.  
 
Some routers will allow a person to view usage by connection.  
 
If you can't do that, you could disable a device for a day. Check the usage each morning to track what is using so much.  
 
A computer could have a bug and is using up lots of data.

I'm guessing I was streaming hd so I changed my settings to 780p will that help or is 1080p. I don't use Netflix just movies n tv shows. Used over my 60 gb in a mth.

780 and 1080 is HD. Is there like an SD setting?

Just a 480p no SD

I think its safe to assume you are using Kodi. Some of those illegal piracy add-ons do all sorts of stuff under the hood which the average user is blissfully unaware of.  
 
I should probably point out that no add-on in Kodi is sandboxed, so it has full access to your system and network (or at least as much as Kodi itself does). And given that they are knowingly made with the aim to use illegally sourced pirated material, do you think some of the authors have the highest moral and ethical standards?  
 
720p movie uses anywhere from 0.7GB - 2GB. A 1080p is gonna use anywhere from 1.5GB to upwards of 10-12GB depending on encoding. TV shows can be anywhere from 150MB - 1.5GB depending on quality and length.  
All of these can vary, could be more that that even. These are just rough estimates.  
 
Now you have something on your Kodi setup that is accessing loads of your bandwidth... I leave you to draw your own conclusions here, but I would suggest removing the piracy add-on stuff and see what happens. I suspect they are very much involved in your issue here.

I use PRTG (Paessler Router Traffic Grapher)installed on my PC to track how much I'm using on my Netset connection.  
 
Only certain home-type internet equipment actually supports tracking traffic(snmp) but it doesn't hurt to find out. you can always uninstall it if it doesn't work.  
 
Install the free version of PRTG and allow it to scan for devices supporting snmp. The free version is limited to 8 "sensors" which is fine since we're only wanting to look at the one router. It's got a wizard that will setup a "sensor" and then it will regularly get updates from the device and it will show you graphs and totals for one hour, two days, one week etc. It can also show stuff about your pc, but we don't need that.  
 
I use it to see when my child forgets to turn off his tablet, because it shows on the graph as a steady flow of traffic. after a while it will even warn you when your useage deviates from normal, such as unusually high traffic for a certain hour or day of the week etc. It's actually meant for monitoring large networks, but it works great for me.  
 
I just have to leave my PC on all the time so it gathers the data constantly, 40 watts (with the screens off) well spent in my opinion...
