Westman Communications Group is down

As of 8:30 this morning there is no internet in Souris could be the entire Westman Communications Group Network I have tried to access their website and there is no response to the website as well their phones are all busy.

Power outage? I have no internet in Brandon west end. This is the second time within a month or two. Don't you think they have a generator for such a bigger organization serving this many communities.

Also down at shoppers mall, and around 1st and vic. So looks like the whole system is down.

There phone service could be down as well as all I've been getting is busy signal since 8:30 on both their main phone number and their technical support number

Well for us on Vic its just the DNS. (Domain Name System) Basically the Westman internet directory is down. Without a guide your computer can't go anywhere.

Step 1 - Open 'This PC' or 'My Computer'

Step 2 - Type in "Network Connections" at the top of the screen.

Once you are there follow this video.

It should fix it. At least it did for me.

They have a huge generator at the head office and battery on top... somehow I doubt it's power.
I would be interested to learn the root cause for sure...

Could have be a upstream problem as hd tv was down as well but not sd tv.

You run a business that relies on a constant internet connection to conduct work, and you don't have a backup connection via another provider? Seems like you might be better off spending your time on some risk analysis or finding some competent I.T. help rather than venting on eBrandon about your failure to plan and protect your business properly.

Internet has been fine all day here and im in the south end
