I just upgraded from a G4 to a Pixel 2 (non-XL) yesterday. So far, like the phone and the design. Has the looks of an i device whilst running android.
One heads up, however, is it has no headphone jack (though ordinary headphones can be used with a provided adapter). Though an initially perceived annoyance, I''''ve ordered a pair of Bluetooth headphones, figuring them to be handier than normal headphones in many of the ways that I use them.
I wanted an alternative to the big 3 manufacturers due to their various problems (as encountered over the years), and with luck, Google''''s entry will prove viable (I'm giving it a few months).
Another one I am watching is Essential. Though I liked the screen on that phone, I read of some legal problems that could have some lasting impacts. And the last thing I need on a brand new device is the possibility of an evaporating warranty.
Best of luck in whatever you choose.
