Anybody own one that would share some personal reviews? I’m wondering about the stainless steel vs. aluminum cases? There is a big price jump between the two so wondered if it’s worth it? I’m sure I won’t be getting the cellular as I don’t feel it’s worth the monthly expense. I’m looking for some personal reviews. Oh.. also the strap? It doesn’t have a classic watch buckle. Is that an issue for you and it comes undone all all the time or is it difficult to put on? Also, what color do you have? I’m going to the apple store this week and not sure what to get? It’s for a woman so I’m thinking aluminum 38mm with the fog strap. Series 3 for sure.

I have the first version. Hopefully someone with a more recent one can give you another perspective, but as far as some of the stuff that I could speak to....

- on stainless vs sport. I’d ask myself how long I’d expect to be using the watch. Will you be upgrading every few years like phones or are you in it for the long haul? I went stainless and it does look nice but every time I see someone wearing the Sport I have visions of what I could’ve been doing with the extra few hundred I could’ve saved on Sport in the end though it’s part jewellery and part tech... the jewellery someone wears is such a personal decision.

- re strap, mine is all magnet. They didn’t use cheap magnets, the thing locks on there good. The only times I’ve run into trouble are when riding a bike (bump after bump seems to loosen the hold of the magnet) or when picking up and carrying kiddo for long periods of time. I’m sure one of the Sport straps would be better in these situations.

- would recommend getting just a small, thin transparent bumper case or two (lots on Amazon for not much money). I learned the hard way that a simple drop from 3 feet above ground can mean game over for the screen and repair isn’t cheap without Apple Care. The small lip of a bumper case is enough to increase chance of survival while not sacrificing the look of the thing very much.

- overall I’m happy I have it. I was a little disappointed when I first got it that apps couldn’t do more but over time I’ve really gotten to appreciate it as a great way to get messages, get and dictate reminders and of course tell the time and use as a stopwatch like a more traditional watch might do. Best of luck in whatever you decide!

I don’t know what an iwatch is.....you mean AppleWatch?
We have a Series 2 and Series 3 Apple Watch In Aluminium, in 42mm and 38mm non cellular, GPS only.
The 42mm has the sport band, that is fantastic, the 38mm has the sport loop that is very comfortable. (You can get cheap knockoff straps on amazon)

At the time of purchase of the S3, no cell provider in MB supported cellular for the watch. But, phone calls on the gps only watches are still fantastic.

Everything about the S3 is better in-terms of speed. Siri is fantastic.

Both watches can go a few days between charges, unless you do a lot of talking.

IMHO, get the S3 over the 2, definitely over the 1.
Just get the Aluminium, unless you really like the feel of the SS.

Try on some different straps. I like them all, but I use the sport band.

I only take my watch off to charge (only takes an hour or so) so it’s been through a lot, and still looks new, nearly 2 years later with no protection.

Solid units.

I’ve got the 3 aluminum both a sport band and a loop band. It’s not connected through cellular because of provider did not support...then again I am rarely far enough away from the phone to not accept calls on watch (have done it at work down the hall etc) love it. Basically head to apple store and check out fit and feel of them. The sport band is great for the lake the loop band is better for work.

I got my Apple Watch this week and I’m thrilled so far... however I’m still trying to figure some stuff out. I asked quite a few questions at the store however I’m still wondering. Any body have any advice about a good app to use to track sleep? The activity app is going to take a little getting used to. However I have synced it to my fitness pal. But I’m wondering about the sleep tracking. I used a Fitbit previously but have discovered iwatch doesn’t track sleep. Any advice for iwatch/ Apple Watch?

I’m also thinking about the iwatch.
The cost of connecting the series 3 might slow me down, but I think the technology has matured enough to allow me to stop carrying my phone everywhere.

Interesting you call your iwatch a S3, because that name belongs to the competition.

Sleep Apps
There are some great ones out there.
Pillow and Sleep watch have good ratings.

Has anyone heard when Bell Mts is going to offer the service here where you can use the watch as a stand alone device? Ie leave your phone at home.
Last I asked them they had no idea.
