Has anybody actually pressed 1 to screw with the person on the other end when that scam recording comes over the telephone about "your IP address being compromised and needing to change it"? I have had the call three times today. My phone line is with WCG. I cannot block the number because it is coming from a different number every time. They are 204 area code numbers though. don't be fooled into handing out your information over the telephone.

That explains all the calls where I go "Hello ... hello" no-one there, so I hang up.

I will play the game next time. Thanks for the heads-up.

Why? Because they can spoof any number, including YOURS.

I like screwing with the windows phone calls. You get them riled up enough they start swearing at you lol

the call again this afternoon. I want to press 1 to get the "representative" to unload on them but am apprehensive about doing anything and giving them a window to do something electronically. I cannot even block it because they are routing through a different 204 area code number every time. Seriously contemplating dumping my home phone service. I am starting to get as much garbage on the WCG phone as I am with their email!
