    quilting machine for rent?

    I am struggling to finish a project (quilted carry-all bag) because of the thickness of the quilting. My sewing machine just can't handle it, and I have yet to sew on the finishing binding.  
     
    I don't want to buy a quilting machine, but would like to rent one. Does anyone know where I might go for that?

    What kind of machine do you have? Are you sure it's the machine and not just the needle?

    Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118. I bought 90/14 needles. I've been doing fine until I had to sew the bottom/sides strip to the front & back. The thickness is super difficult to get under the presser foot. I've even tried a zipper foot.

    You need a walking foot to move that kind of thickness. See Wayne at the Brandon sewing center, he has them. It is a big clunky looking foot but it works, no one should machine quilt without one..... well worth the money.
