Who does Don Cherry think he is? Why does he think his personal views on anything other than hockey matters? Don Cherry had a job to do. Hockey Commentor!

I came across an article today that quoted Cherry as saying he had Intended to apologize on the next episode of CC...but the network chose to fire him instead. Did he really intend to apologize? Talk is cheap after the fact. mind you-he indicated his apology was only to say he used the wrong words-he should have said "everybody"...well ya, that was the whole point, really.

This isn't the 80's or 90's anymore. Things move a lot faster today. Today people could rewind the DVR and relisten, the video is online, people communicate much faster than a couple decades ago. Apologizing next week is the same as never.  
 
And you cannot force everyone to wear a poppy.
