| | acidbasement said " In Canada, mosques are the target of arson and other vandalism. Muslims are assaulted on the street while going about their daily business. In Dauphin last month, someone threatened the United Church and some of its members personally after they made it known that they'd be sponsoring refugees.
It's not surprising that a company making "welcome refugees" kits does so only on the condition that their identity remains secret. Don't blame the Liberals, blame the people who have been committing hate crimes. " |

Churches and other structures of religious prayer get burnt down too, and people of all ethnicity, sexual orientation and what not get attacked and beaten up on the street on a daily basis while going about their lives, why do we think muslims would have it different.
What I don't get is why a government contract was handed out without a tender process and now the details aren't being released due to "security concerns", just release the cost then if the company is so scared of backlash.
If the liberal party hadn't blathered on incessantly about the conservatives and their lack of transparency this wouldn't bother me so much.
