Thanks to the liberals,
4 children pays $27,432 tax free.
That's about 45,000 in wages.
Add a part time job $15000
Add subsidy for daycare .
That's north of $60,000 pre tax. Why would anyone get a union job when you get paid that kind of money.
Imagining that same persons wage when they work full time in a union job. " |

But all 4 would have to be preschool age, how many people have 4 kids preschool age? I'm sure it happens occasionally but even then how long would they all be preschool age? " |

But if you want, if the 4 children are between 7 and 18 years the amount is still 21,600.
$21,600 tax free money
That''''s about 38,000 dollars before tax.
Add a part time job and you have equal to a 50 thousand dollar pretax.
It''''s not employee wages that eat up government money, its the get me elected promises, unless your talking about MP retirement or expense accounts. We could also save some money if our PM would visit Canada for a change. Edited by loeog, 2016-12-12 21:40:11" |

Not sure where you are getting your net income numbers from but a single person with no dependents would net approximately $29000 if they grossed $38000 annually.
For each dependent there would be an additional deduction as well as an equivalent to spouse deduction that would basically eliminate all income taxes payable.
When you are making an argument, it really helps to have your facts straight.
As far as your claim that employee wages are not the problem, is it your opinion that MP wages, expenses, and pensions are the only place the Federal government wastes money?
Government waste (federally, provincially, and locally) exists from top to bottom and from one side to the other. It needs to be acknowledged as a problem and their needs to be a serious change in the culture of entitlement.
