I’m waiting to hear back from hydro but on Twitter they are saying ice and snow build up is causing problems all over southwest Manitoba .

Yeah power just dipped here three times in a row. Reset the washing machine for sure. Dryer and dishwasher kept on humming, though.

In Riverheights and we've had several bouts of the power flickering, but it has so far stayed on.

Kids were outside for a bit and reported they heard a mighty crack a couple of times. So some trees limbs I'm sure... our Manitoba maple is basically kissing the ground right now!! I can't image what the power lines are doing.

Scary situation in backlane just East of Meadows school. Downed line, flames very prominent. School is already out and kids on their way home. Hydro has been informed. Avoid area at all cost, not something to go out of your way to see. Will post a short video in a moment

Fire/ambulance blocking the area off and by looks of it power has been cut. Hydro crews no doubt extremely busy today and will attend when able.

300 block of 26th st is without power. Just went out about 10 mins ago.
