With rain falling right now forecast to just be the beginning, province today put out a precautionary overland flood warning for areas that include parts of Southwest MB including Brandon based on potential accumulation of precip from now to Wednesday of 100-150mm:

From data on the Environment Canada page, Brandon had a grand total of 29.8mm in all of July and then had moisture on just two days in all of August that totalled 51.5mm. Counting the little bit that fell after the calendar turned to summer in June, Brandon has seem 91.3mm all summer meaning we could very well double our precip for the whole season over these next few days.
Env Canada currently has a rainfall warning in place through to Saturday morning:

Probably not the worst idea to safely make sure storm drains in the neighbourhood are free and clear!
