I don't usually travel away, but I seem to have gone to Saskatchewan at a bad time!! would roads likely be closed with this kind of weather? I've never really have experienced this sort of thing... I really need to get home tomorrow

really see anything that would shut down the roads at the moment.

I look forward to the first thread this winter complaining about why the city isn't sanding intersections. Watching people do the regular speed and slam on their brakes sliding through the lights. Or spinning their tires constantly thinking they accelerate faster.

Prolonged snowfall event for extreme southwestern Manitoba and southeastern Saskatchewan expected to leave 20 to 30 cm of snowfall through Wednesday.  
 
A developing low pressure system over North Dakota tonight will progress slowly eastward and stall over Minnesota. Snowfall will begin Monday morning and continue through Wednesday evening, gradually diminishing with time. Winds will gradually increase in strength further diminishing visibilities in blowing snow. Additionally, periods of freezing drizzle are likely with this system.  
 
ECCC meteorologists continue to monitor the situation, and additional warnings may be added as the system approaches.  
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.

A return to winter conditions for southwestern Manitoba starting today.  
 
A low pressure system located over northeast South Dakota this morning will bring a wintery mix of precipitation to southwestern Manitoba. Heavy snow will push in from the south early this morning and spread northward. There may be a brief period of freezing rain or pellets at precipitation onset. Current indications are that most areas surrounding the warning regions will see up to 15 cm of snow by Wednesday. 20 to 30 cm is forecast by Tuesday over extreme southwestern Manitoba and the Parkland region where the warnings are in effect. Reduced visibilities in snow and blowing snow are also possible at times.  
 
ECCC meteorologists continue to monitor the situation, and additional warnings may be required as the system approaches.

Updated weather statement from before noon (same link as above) had Killarney to Brandon at 5-15cm by the time all is said and done. The further West you go and you start to get into the warned area and 20-30cm

A low pressure system over North Dakota will continue to spread precipitation across southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba today, with further snowfall amounts in the 5 to 10 cm range. Amounts will slowly diminish on Tuesday night as the system gradually weakens. Visibilities will be reduced at times in either falling snow or drifting snow.  
 
ECCC meteorologists continue to monitor the situation, and additional warnings may be added as the system approaches.  
 
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.  
 
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
