Just wondering what is going on with Countryfest the last couple years? I am disappointed in their line ups. Even sold my tickets last year because line up was terrible. This year doesn't look much better IMO.  
 
I know each artist has a "couple" good songs, but seriously I want to hear more than a couple of songs especially for the price (tickets, camping, food, etc)

Most people go to drink, they don't care as much for the music. Add in the fact of Kraven dauphin's country fest is on the road to being doomed.

most only go there to get drunk and party all day/night. Also make pigs of themselves and their campsites. Chances are most don't even like country music.  
 
It also depends of who's touring, scheduling, and cost.

Is there a link to show who is on the line-up for 2016?

I agree most do just go to party and "other" things :/ I swear I have never seen so many used condoms in one place at one time lol.

I would HOPE this is just the start of the line up? And the big names are still TBA? lol.

The rest could all fill The 40, or the WMCA at best.

only October. Give them a chance!! Yes, Craven already has Eric Church and Zac Brown Band which are two HUGE names in country music but yes, Countryfest is only just beginning to book. It's co-op run like RFM so things are different.  
 
On the other side of the fence, RFM doesn't announce bands until late in the year so the worrying is unnecessary. It's not like the good old days. Everything is going up in price so maybe it isn't as easy for others? Think about that. The earlier you buy your tickets, the more money they will have to try and get bigger and better acts before they're booked elsewhere.

Good points  
BUT i know a lot of people that base whether they buy tickets or not on WHO is going.

I respect that. It's the same with any festival. But like I said, this is just the beginning. Buy early and you can always sell them later if you're not going to use them. I'm not at all saying poor sales are the cause for the weaker lineups. Maybe a lot of the newer acts won't be in the area at the time? You never know.

Sure is a pile of money to spend just to party your face off; priorities I guess; sorry, old school

C-Fest realized that a large percentage of their attendance could care less about who is there.  
I know there is people that go that honestly don't even go watch the concerts, and some could not even remember who was playing.

It's the same with RFM. It used to be about Classic Rock but Saturday and Saturday are geared towards people my age and younger now. I agree again: that's the way of the world now.

for over a decade. I used to love it. I went to have a good time and I also loved the music. There wasn't anywhere else that I could see so many great acts in one weekend. I thought that sites and the stage etc. were much better than Craven.  
 
But, I have limits to what I will put up with to have a good time. The descriptions of the people there, their behavior and trashiness is enough to keep me away. There used to be a time when I wouldn't imagine staying off-site because you'd miss the camping, visiting, dancing and partying. Now, I wouldn't consider going unless I stayed off-site. The bands haven't been good enough for me to want to go and give up a weekend that I could be at the cabin or the beach. I could do a lot of other fun things for the same money.  
 
I think I might go if the tickets were free and I just had to pay to stay off-site, or if I could just go one day to see an act I really like, I might go back.  
 
I am older but I still like a good time. If I could go back and have a Countryfest weekend like it was in 2003-5 or so, I`d do it in a heartbeat and probably not even care about the cost. It was fun and it was worth it. But with things as they are, no.

I don't see them mentioned in the 2014 Line up and on the Countryfest Facebook it specifically says this is the first time Lady A will be playing there.  
 
People seem to be excited about it which is nice!

She was supposed to be there but cancelled last minute ( like a week in advance) so who can say how it will go.
