Nikon D3100 tips and pointers....

Hi ebrandoners...I just purchased my first SLR digital camera - a Nikon D3100 -and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by the camera! Does anyone own one and would they be willing to give me some "lessons"? I have read the manual several times but would greatly appreciate some pointers and tips from someone who has used this camera. Thank you so much. Happy Hallowe'en everyone
