heard good things about virgin mobile

but do they have the towers across Canada for texting, phoning, and emergencies like Rogers and MTS. Also, most of my friends own Rogers, so how does that affect me texting them or them me? Will I get them and vice versa? How good is the service in the mall: i.e. do you get any service or does your phone go dead like my rogers phone?
