My Galaxy is getting really slow and choppy, so I figured I'd buy a memory card for it... but I have quickly discovered there are TONS of options. Different sizes, different speeds, different brands... For all I know the most expensive card could work the same as the middle-of-the-road card... maybe it would be completely unecessary (meaning it writes faster than my phone can write, or it has more space than I could ever possibly use)  
 
I'm currently looking at the Samsung PRO and Samsung EVO versions. I figure 32GB should be more than enough space, but I worry that settling for the cheaper EVO will leave me with the same slow processing speed I'm currently dealing with.  
 
Thoughts? What is everyone else using? Did you notice faster processing speeds?

A memory card will not make your phone any less slow or choppy than adding a hard drive to a desktop computer will solve a sluggish PC.  
 
A microSD card is used to hold apps and files (music, movies, etc) it does not magically fix a sluggish phone (usually too many background apps running, go to settings/apps and you should be able to see what processes are running.  
 
Lots of apps have a background component that helps them launch faster when you open them, you can uninstall the app if you don't use it.  
 
If you insist on buying a microSD card, anything that is class 10 MicroSDHC should be plenty fast.

If your phone is getting slow and choppy, you need to back up your data, photos, etc., and do a factory reset - ie. wipe it clean so that you have to reinstall all your apps. It's like getting a new phone all over again and you'll be amazed at how fast it is.
