iphone, HTC, samsung

What are your thoughts for the users that owned Iphone, HTC, Samsung?
Regarding battery life, video/picture resolutions, microphone quality, reception. Is android better than ios? Iphone doesn't seem to stand long the very cold winter days when you are outside.
All I know and like about iphone is texting : it shows if it got delivered and if it was read.
