My cell contract is up next month which means getting a new phone. Just wondering if I should switch to a samsung or stick to my apple. What do you ebrandoners recommend.

I recommend apple just because i feel it can be used so much more with other items such as ipads etc.  
 
One thing i would check out is who is going to give you the best rate! Was a recent marketplace come out that cell companies have different pricing for certain customers which they do not advertise and to never take the first offer. And that they will do anything to keep a customer if u threaten to close out  
 
 
I no when my contract is up i am going to call around and get prices from bell etc and then come back to my provider and see what they can offer!

I have an iPhone love it. Was with MTS will never go back. With Bell the bill is the same every month no surprises. Get data plan etc

have switched from HTC to samsung.  
My daughter switched from Apple to samsung s6 and she loves her new phone

Both are good, go to the store and try both and see what you think. There are some other good Android phones besides Samsung too, like the Nexus 5x or LG G4.

Lots of free stuff on android. Many different options with Apple you have one option. I have both phones iphone for work and samsung personal. Android is way easier to use and mates with Microsoft programs.

Switched from apple to Samsung and hated it. Went back to Apple as soon as I could get out of the contract(year and a half). You can do so much more with iPhones (it has an ebrandon app unlike android/samsung etc) and my Samsungs (s5) battery did not last. After a year of having the phone my battery would only last about 3-4 hours. Samsung also used a lot more data yet I was on the internet the same amount, ended up paying many extra charges and tried everything to make the phone use less.
