Looking to buy printer ink online cheaper than stores. Is this possible ?? I spend more on ink than I did the printer

i have bought refill kits from princess auto and online and they work fine as long as you dont have to reset the cartridge, i have also heard there is a place on 10th i think that refills for decent price (search old discussions for the name)takes a while but have also bought them from china for really cheap and they worked well too

I wish I could find a place to buy ink re-fillers... I have an LEXMARK X75 & it takes a # 17... I pay $ 32.00 each time for a new one... I also would like to know where I could get them cheaper...

Is what I get at Amazon for my printer.  
Mine is an Epson, but I am sure there is Generic ink for all Brands. Have been using it for 1 year now with no problems.

is there a rough cost and time frame to refill toner cartridges? i would like to give you a try when ours needs done instead of going the china route if at all comparable

I have had very good results with the Ink-Owl refillable cartridges and ink I have purchased through Amazon.ca for my Epson 1430 printer. The cartridges are easy to refill with the supplied syringes (that come with the ink order), and the ink is very good quality and a very good colour match for my photographs on glossy Epson photo paper. I believe my costs are around 1/10 the price of genuine Epson cartridges when I buy the 120ml bottles of ink.  
 
I go through quite a bit of ink, but if my usage was smaller, I would certainly head over to the local guy and try out his product.

Ink Own https://www.inkowl.com/ only sells ink for Lexmark, not the cartridges. I imagine the cartridges for your X75 are refillable, but you would have to look that up.

If you are comfortable with refilling you own - good for you - good for the environment! However not everyone wants to get ink on their hands for spills on their carpet.  
 
At ink-brandon.ca I DON'T refill. I stock ready-to-go pre-filled/factory tested cartridges for a majority of Brandon printers.  
 
Id never be able to match the on-line Amazon or China prices but that's not my place...  
 
I"m simply a local family business that 1/2 the price of the "Stapler" store & encourage recycling  
by offering $3-$5 off for empty cartridges. (We're the only place in Brandon who do that!)  
 
Think local- When you buy local your money stays in BRANDON...not Beijing or Boston.

Good to know you're in the area. I have a couple of Laser printers and I'll look you up when I need replacement cartridges for them.  
 
I know what you mean by refilling inkjet cartridges, but I haven't spilled any on the carpet (yet). I go through quite a bit of ink/paper and I'm using a quality bulk ink that's made in the USA and shipped from Canada.  
 
I have enough ink on hand for quite a while but certainly for small quantities, dealing with you will probably be $$ sensible. I'll direct my friends to you as the opportunities arise.

If going to Winnipeg anytime soon..Costco can refill your ink within a couple of hours, and at a really good price it's about $8-10 per cartridge

Ink refilling is the least expensive way to go, I used to do that as well... many 'spills' ago. For higher volume usage sounds like you've found a good company.  
 
Refilling is not for everyone but it is the best way to keep the cost down on certain cartridges without chips.

i have used them for years, mail order, order on a monday likely on your door step friday.  
 
prices for original manufactures cartridges about the same as local stores, but the refurbished/refilled cartridges are substantially less. and I donlt notice any difference  
 
never had a problem with them, and they have a huge list of available cartridges to fit just about everything.  
 
way better than trying to fill your own.

when buying a printer, check the price of ink for that printer and then make your decision.

Yup 123ink

I found that 123inkcartrages.ca is an awesome place to buy ink. I buy the generic brand for my printer and I have HUGE savings: $100 retail stores $16 for the same amount of ink just off brand. I have been using this for over 10 years and they are awesome, no bad cartridges, they don't get rejected my computer. Of course t will be a different price for yours. You can also get a cheaper price if you buy multiples as they do have a 2 year shelf life. You should try it.  
 
And it's a Canadian business!!

I used to buy generic brand ink but found I kept having problems with my printer and always seemed to be replacing them after not too long. I know only use brand name ink and my printer is still going strong and no issues.

I have been using generic for 8 years and I have had my printer for 10+ years. I know mine has an automated cleaning cycle maybe that was your issue. I have a Brother printer and I would like to upgrade mine to wireless but I just don't have a reason to get rid of it. It still works as good as the day I bought it!
