Hi. It has been almost a month that I'm only getting a bar or two of network service with Rogers. Even on the road between Virden to Brandon and Virden to Redvers, I only have a couple of bars signal. If I'm using cellular data, LTE will show up which is faster than 3G, but it's too slow as I only have one bar of service. I will only get four to five bars if I'll make a call then back to one bar when the call has been made. However, when I'm in Saskatchewan I have five bars of cellular service. Some of my friends in Virden area have the same issue. By the way I'm using Iphone. Is it only in Virden or are the other surrounding areas having the same issue?

Hi Amber and Jeremy. I phoned Rogers and technical department said they are not aware of this. I'm the first one who called them about it. I was told that if someone is having the same issue, please give them a call.

Not aware of the situation... I have called several times over the last 6 weeks and have had no resolution nor credit applied to my account for such crappy service from Rogers. I will be switching to MTS ASAP

no issues with reception in Brandon other than spots in the east end. Princess, Lorne, Louise near 13st East. And I'm on Rogers with S5 neo. Had no issues between Virden and Brandon in late August. The only place where I have no reception is in the Glenboro area. And that issue is going to be remedied with a tower in Glenboro next year.

Yep, Rogers has been fairly slow for the last several weeks on both 3G/LTE. LTE is giving 3G-esque speeds from several years ago (3Mbps) while 3G is generally 2G EDGE speeds.. so 0.2Mbps  
 
Rogers has a new "Network Status" page on their website where you can report network issues. If enough people report issues, they'll investigate.. people have to constantly report the issues first in order for Rogers to do anything:

I have 2 cell phones for my business.The service was fairly consistent until like you say last few weeks.Then I started having trouble where in one area I would have strong MTS but not Rogers and other areas Rogers beat out MTS.Since they share towers this should not happen.  
Interesting that Bell just bought MTS recently..

Bell has not bought MTS yet.

I called them and they said I'm the only one having issues. They suggested that I get a new phone.

I have to laff when technical support says, they are not aware of any issues, and nobody else has called. MTS said the same to me a couple of weeks back... When I know at least 8 people called for the same thing. Unfortunately, we have no competition.

LTE is crap on MTS too. Theyre full of it saying nobody has complained. Lots of people have.

With the impending sale of MTS to Bell, I was just wondering if this means that Bell service would be better with them taking control of the MTS towers?  
 
I have not been happy with Rogers for a while, they keep messing up my bills, and like others have stated the service is very intermittent. My contract is up in the spring, and I have been looking into Bell or Telus. I would just like to hear from existing Telus and Bell customers on how the service is. I travel to other provinces frequently, and north of the #1. Do you get charged extra fees when in other provinces? How is the service in the northern communities? And, how is the customer service for these providers?

Im In Alexander and its never great..but this weekend i have to walk around outside with my phone over my head to just send a text.Its a joke

I move around in my chair and the bar count changes.  
 
I glanced down bore I started typing it was three. Now it is one. Just moved my phone. Up to two.  
 
Still connected though. I guess I am from the old CB radio days. Back then even the weather could cause issues.  
 
Strong or weak signals have many variables. Some phones pick up great on G4. Yet are less able on LTE.  
 
I am happy with Rogers with my x play. Another phone may be different. One bar or 5 as long as I get a signal I am happy. Oh. in the kitchen I have a solid 4 bars.

Im with telus and have not had any issues. When I go north of number one it does go into extended service which just means slower data speeds but I never get billed extra for it. Traveled from here to Calgary and didnt lose signal once! Unlimited calling and texting across Canada too thats included in the plans!
