I noticed it getting worse too. Just can't figure out why we have No service heading North to Minnedosa on #10 highway , yet i had Full LTE coming back from Calgary last Saturday....

seems to be slow around kemnay, alexander and oak lake.  
 
also having issues at home too with messages.  
 
no idea why though. hope it is soon better.

Not having any problems in Brandon.

I rarely get more then 1-2 bars in Brandon, then I don't get any service down the 340 highway until I get home.. 45 minutes from Brandon.

Always has bad service.

I've only been getting 1 bar, max 2 sometimes, for awhile now. I'm only a few miles south of Bdn.

My daughter has complained that when she uploaded iOS 10 onto her iPhone5, her signal diminished a little. Along with battery life wasn't as long and features operated can be sluggish. She went online and found a few ways to change the settings to improve the phones performance. However, she says that it's still not perfect or remotely the same as it was before the "upgrade/update". Now she says she must have the iPhone 6 to 'get her life back together'. LOL  
 
If it's an older iPhone that's been updated, check online for help with the settings. That might be a solution to boost the signal or speed it up.

I noticed that in Tuesday evening. I had an urgent family emergency in progress and I had can barely hear the person who called me. I tried calling the person with my cell and same thing. I ended up texting them, telling the person to call my landline (which I was going to get rid of at some point. I glad I didn't get rid of it!). I have a Samsung 5S neo phone.

Poor reception with Onstar in both my vehicles too. Will not be renewing service contract due to poor service. Became really bad December 2015. Wondering if the signal problem relates to the older cell towers being turned off that ran on the older digital signal. I am sure someone will know the name of the signal.

I agree with everyone's comments. I had 29 dropped calls in July and MTS suggested I buy a new SIM card. Turns out that one of the towers was down. Bars continue to be weak.

i have found the signal to be bad lately too, both for my cell data and my dsl at home, mts needs some work i think, never used to have as many slow issues as i do now and im not a heavy user either

Yes the reception has gotten worse.Does it have anything to do with Bell buying Mts and Rogers and Mts having a tower sharing agreement?Maybe fun and games on corporate side.

Bell has not bought MTS yet.

I have an MTS G4, but have not really had any problems. LTE is almost never stronger than 1 or 2 bars, but it has usually worked, so ive never worried about it.  
 
The typical suspects can be problematic (metal roofed big boxes at the correl center, even Superstore at times), but havent noted much change aside from that.

I'm with Rogers (sharing towers with MTS) and I'm amazed at how poor of a signal I get in and around Brandon. I was near 1st & Vic last evening and virtually no signal. The north hill is debatable. At home in the Brandon Hills, I can barely use my cell phone in my house. Even outside depends on where I am in the yard. Pathetic.

have been fighting with MTS for weeks now over this. At home my LTE service is so bad I cannot even send an MMS. My download speeds are 0.20Mbps and upload is usually 0.01Mbps. The tower that is having most of the issues is located at 22nd and Brandon Ave. I parked next to it one night and I got 2.56Mbps Down and 0.20 Up. They advised me that it has to do with testing a new 800mhz signal. That is complete BS. I was downtown and was getting 56Mbps down and 25Mbps up. It is their tower and they keep feeding BS and say there is nothing that can be done. Also anyone that says try 4G, it is WORSE.

My husband and I both have older Samsungs, and I'm on Rogers and he's on MTS. Neither of us have had any problems. Is this a problem restricted to the new phones maybe?

you may have older CDMA services that use different signals. New smart phones use HSPA service that require sim cards and CDMA phones do not have this.

I'm not tech enough to find out what my phone uses. But I do require a SIM card for mine. The phone itself is about 3 years old, it was a hand-me-down that came off contract from a family member.

Ive been having problems all week. Hardly any signal. Even with a signal booster..I'm on the highway east of brandon.

I used to have great reception inside my place until a couple years ago. If I have an important phone call to make I have to go sit in my car, and even then I have issues. MTS keeps blaming the environment and saying it must have changed. But nothing has. I also have issues with my wifi for the last 10 months. I have to talk to them monthly about it. They just keep telling me the same BS that there's nothing wrong with it. There's only two people using it, and I recently wired my smart tv so it's not using the signal and it's still terrible. I want to move my services elsewhere, but not sure it'll be much better with anyone else.

There could be several reasons for your WiFi issues which are unrelated to MTS. Interference, too much usage, attenuation from your walls, etc.  
 
I help a lot of my friends with their internet related issues. Probably 90% of the time when they think the problem is with their ISP, it's actually something in their household environment.

Why does it get better for a couple weeks after they change something on their end? Sorry I don't buy it because 1. Nothing in my house has changed and 2. When I hound them enough they change something and it works fine for a few weeks. I ask for a permanent solution, but they say they can't give me one. I shouldn't have to call monthly to get the service I pay for to work properly.

They can change the WiFi channels form their end. That would reduce interference.
