I'd like to start playing D&D again after a long hiatus. Anyone interested in starting at 1st level and building a group? I'm willing to DM a new group as we all learn 5e together. I have dice.  
 
Alternately, if anyone has a space in an established group, I'd be happy to join.

I have DM experience but not with 5e so I'd be happy to DM. I have lots of dice and DM manual.  
 
I see it being a casual, once or twice a month group with a good role-play component. Mature group (not necessarily age-wise but attitude-wise) willing to allow the dice and the role-play determine the story outcomes.  
 
DnDBeyond has a great free character creation tool that figures out all the bonuses, saving throws, and skill check values automatically.

Anyone else looking to play some D&D?

It seems like this may be something you want to let Boardwalk Empire know you are interested in. Maybe they can start up a local D&D group like Winnipeg has. I have noticed Winnipeg has several FB groups you can join for interested players but with Brandon being so small, my first stop to find players would be Boardwalk or to attend a PrairieCon and ask around.

@MiamiHeatFan, Great! With the other interest on the board from 2 private messages, that makes 1 DM and 4 players. Perfect for a group.  
 
We'll need to set up a meet and greet to go over character creation, expectations and goals. Library? Coffee Shop? Sent me a private message and let me know.
