What’s the best day for a yard sale? Is it worth it to have one on a Friday afternoon/evening? Or best to stick to a Saturday? What about on a long weekend?

I don't know if a long weekend is the time to do one or not, but if you are going to set up for Saturday anyway, why not have it going Friday already?

A couple of years ago I was at a garage sale that was held on Thursday/Friday - I went Friday and everything was very picked over and the seller said she had had an excellent day on the Thursday. Food for thought...

We have been doing yard sales for 30 years I bet. At one time Sat and Sun was the best but nowadays Sunday’s suck. I’d never do a long weekend because a lot of people are on holidays.  
Most of the time now we do Friday Sat.  
Last month my aunt did a Thurs Friday sale and there was a fair turn out on the Thursday.  
If you advertise in the Brandon Sun you will have the die hard older yard salers knocking down your door before you even open. That makes me very pissy, like let me get my stuff out man! This last go round just advertised on eBrandon and swap and shops. Had a decent crowd, no crazy early birds.
