Question when it comes seniors shopping the early hour set aside is senior age 55 plus or 65 ?

It is not really working out anyways because even though it’s supposed to be “seniors only and person with disabilities” so many young people and healthy people are still shopping in the grocery store during early hours

You can’t always be sure who is “healthy” My friend received a rude comment at a grocery store, she is 3 months pregnant and has Lupus. She is considered at severe risk, but looks entirely normal.

I do hope the people who needs to shop there early morning are the people who are in that “category” happy healthy shopping! I think seniors are over 60

I’m not judging at all. I just hope people are using the early hour “seniors only” and “person with disabilities,etc” in grocery stores correctly! I know employees cannot stop anyone

It's not seniors and people with "disabilities" it's for seniors and vulnerable people which i:ncludes many people and not just disabled people. The system isn't going to be perfect but I think most people are respecting it very well from what I've observed.

Not sure what difference it makes. Anytime I’ve been out, regardless of what time of the day it is, the store is packed with seniors. They don’t seem to be worried about getting it. I don’t think the majority of them understand the seriousness of it, and the risk they’re putting themselves and others in.

This morning I was at Safeway and there was a lineup before the store opened. A guy who looked fairly young and healthy tried to cut in front but this older lady told him off, yelling and shaking her purse at him. He kept trying to cut ahead of her but she was having nothing of it. Finally when he was able to get a word in he said "Lady if you don't let me unlock the door nobody will be doing any shopping".

When going grocery shopping are people wearing masks & gloves ? Is it safe to go if you have no mask or gloves ?

Yes, it is safe to shop without a mask and gloves.  
In fact, neither are recommended by health authorities. Do not touch your face, and wash your hands when you come home.

I like gloves. My wife says leave them outside when I get home from doing her shopping. And then she walks me into the washroom and watches as I wash my hands. Some days I think I'm cursed other days I think I'm blessed...

Of course everyone can do what they want and not follow the recommendations of health officials. Look at how many people smoke, drink and drive, or aren't following social distancing guidelines. Just remember that the people who make the guidelines are highly educated and make the recommendations for people's own protection. Also remember that there are often consequences of not following recommendations.

Every store I have seen post senior and "those at risk" hours list the senior age as 65, which I just turned. I have had to show my ID to several people to prove I am 65 as I look a bit younger to them (not currently at any of the stores: just people in general over the last few months)
