I live out of town but I depend on Brandon for my main shopping. I haven't been to town for at least 3 weeks but do need to shop. I should be able to get what I absolutely need at 2 Farm kids and Superstore but would like to do a couple of other stops as well. How crowded is it? Do you feel safe shopping? I'm in my late 70's so don't want to take unnecessary risks. I think I'll be on my own for Christmas so would like to pick up a few things just in case I can only get out shopping the one time. Are some days or some times better than others? Thanks for any help.

I am a senior who is also very nervous about shopping at this time. I know that 2 Farm Kids will do curb side pick up. I have phoned in an order and had them bring it to my car. Many grocery stores will also take orders and offer the pick up option. I prefer to shop in person for groceries and they open at 7:00 am for people like us. Remember you must wear a mask. I also suggest planning well with a list of what you want/ need, so that you are not there too long. This is offered at Sobeys, Safeway, and Walmart. Non-essential shopping must be done on-line and picked up curb side. Businesses are working very hard to accommodate us. Good luck with your shopping.

I would avoid superstore...... unless you go first thing in the morning 7 am. I don’t usually shop on the weekend because it’s to busy.

I haven't been physically into Superstore in months - I just do click and collect. I can't handle the stress of it.  
 
I was physically in Sobeys West today and it was very good. They are doing an excellent job. Just watch the arrows on the floor, it's sometimes dizzying!! lol But if you just walk up and down every aisle in sequence I find it's easier.

If you need Air freshener you have to order it online.. It is considered Non-essential...

i take my mom who is her mid 70's and she says its fine for her but to watch the people around you as some like to crowd you. She has gotten quite good at skirting around other shoppers if theyre too close lol.  
we go to sobeyes west end( earlier the better but if you are wanting fresh bread/rotisssier chicken/meats ) dont go right at opening as it wont be ready or much selection yet. we find arounf 9 am is not too bad for there.  
we do not even attempt ss, and any of the small retailers that are still open are mostly great with ensuring your and their safety.  
perhaps you could try walmart instead, we find 730-8 am is best for there but never on a weekend including friday if you can help it . stay safe

Is my favourite store for groceries. I am also in my 70s and feel safe there. Super clean and very good about following the Covid precautions. I am usually there at 8, with a list. In and out in half an hour. Hand sanitizer and someone cleaning carts at the front door.

Thanks for all your replies. I've already taken advice in starting a list and hope to be super organized when I make the trip. Since I'm out of town by about an hour and don't like driving when it's dark I'll try to leave here as soon as it's light and hope that is good enough. Stay safe everyone!
