Can anyone venture any theories as to why blue jeans are disposed to wear prematurely in the crotch? I find that almost every pair I have owned eventually wears big holes in the crotch. Would love to hear some third party input/theories about my new hobby.

I agree that is a mystery.... I've worn several jeans over my lifetime and some for more years then I should of and I can't say I have ever worn out the crotch of any. What kind of jeans are you buying?

Had that happen.

Mine wear out on the front of the legs-thighs or knees usually, and that is from carrying/lifting hay bales and such.

It is always moving, folding and rubbing. It is also sweat, dirt and skin oil.

What everyone else is thinking , you buy your jeans too big. With too much extra material in the crotch area not being filled out, it bunches up and wears against itself causing the holes! So, either buy the right size, or fill them out!...lol

I just get a seemsteess in town to fix my crotch rips. She charges 10 bucks a pair and it’s an excellent fix. Many more months of were out of them after. I’ll pm you her info

I wear a 34W x 30T, and trust me, I wouldn't want my jeans any snugger. I like med rise boot cut because cowboy boots are basically the only thing I wear. Not fussy about brand, GWG/Mark's house brand/Walmart house brand all good. Don't believe that I need to spend more than $30 for a pair of jeans. Personally I think it's the fabric being stretched when you squat or spread your legs.
