Ok, so the yard sale is about done for the day but there are still quite a few things left over. Kitchen stuff, bedding, and other assorted items. All are clean, working and in good shape.  
 
I don't want this back in the house, any suggestions where it could be donated for a good cause?

They will take most stuff and money stays in Brandon to help the hospital. It's by superstore.

Do proceeds from here stay in the area?

Value Village is NOT a charity store. It is a FOR-PROFIT organization. it is a part of the Savers chain, a privately held company headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. Value Village does partner with local nonprofits that collect donations (such as diabetes association) Last I read 3% of profit from retail goes back to the charitable organization partner.  
 
At the end of the day - you can deposit used items to wherever you like, but if you are looking for a charity store... investigate for yourself before making a drop-off in a bin. Look up the charity online, look to see if Canada Revenue agency has given it a charity registration and double check that a particular advertising charity in partnership with a "for-profit" charity store is indeed partnered.

I completely support those suggesting donations to this organization. It supports equipment purchases for the hospital in Brandon and is operated by volunteer staff. Excellent place to make sure your donations benefit locally.

I am going to be collecting FREE newborn to 6 month clothes. Receiving blankets, face clothes bibs etc. Possible new bottles, formula, (sealed samples or full size not expired), and small newborn hand toys or books. All items must be in excellent to new condition please.  
 
I plan to put together small packages of clean stain free clothes etc...to give to new mothers, or possible sudden foster situations who need a bit of a hand up.  
 
When I am position to begin to hand out the packages. I will have small cards made up for nurses at the hospital and home visiting nurses. New parents can call me and I can arrange to get them a package.  
 
So anyone wanted to contribute to this cause can contact me please.  
 
I plan to get some cards printed up to leave with people who have garage sales that I have visited and who have baby items for sale. But until then if you would like to share this plan, to help me get started, please do!  
 
Or if someone want to offer me some printing services that would be most welcome.

You can try taking it ro the refit store which is on Rosser Ave between 11th and 12th street. They take a lot of stuff and they can give you a tax receipt if you ask.

They are owned by savers inc. they only pay canadian diabetis assoc so many cents per pound on stuff donated. Rest goes to head office of company
