Not a good sleeper. Horrible in fact. Thought I might start with one of these. Any recommendations based on experience would be appreciated .

We have always found the best success with the cheapest foam add ons.  
 
I find the memory foam ones seem to end up compressed in pressure point areas fairly quickly and it does not seem to matter how pricey or good the quality.  
 
We started buying the cheapest ones we could find and have been happier with them. Doesn't feel so bad throwing them out when they break down this way.  
 
Especially when you are trying it out to see if it helps your sleep, start low to see if it makes a difference and upgrade if it helps.

If your needing a mattress topper you need a new mattress. It's a cheap temporary fix.  
Look at getting a new mattress, but get a decent one with a proper topper.  
Memory foam doesn't breathe, it traps heat, and is a waste of your money. Plus it will cause internal damage to your mattress.

I also purchased one from Walmart, honestly I hated it. I woke up sore every day it was on and it felt moist all the time...grossed me out. It came off within a week
