Does anyone else not celebrate halloween?

If so what are your reasons?
Also if there is anyone who celebrates this holiday for religious reasons, do you feel that the secular celebrations honour things which are contrary to your beliefs?
We dont celebrate halloween for the following reasons.
a) the glorification of violence.
b) no saints are being honoured by indulging in fear, sugar and alcohol.
c) I feel a 'Holy Day' should pass on values, remember important persons and their lives, and be observed in a way that will bring them honour.
d) my kids birthdays follow halloween and I'd rather not do so much celebrating this time of year.
The biblical reason also hangs in my concience, but the reasoning behind why it's evil is blurry. I am unsure if celebrating witchcraft in this indirect and symbolic way is the abomination of our time or if it is our dependance on pshychotropic drugs (magic potions).
So far, not celebrating has not had any negative effects, other than having to explain myself to my kids and to others when obviously there are a lot of missing peices to my anti-halloween beliefs.
It sucks feeling alone so all you halloween haters, no matter your reasons please post below!
