Does anyone know what is going on with this club? They have not groomed their trails (except from Rapid City to Minnedosa) the last two winters. We loved going on those trails: some of the most scenic around here.

Most of the areas within their area just hasn't had enough snow. I would bet money that after Christmas with this big storm coming that they will be groomed.

Seems like we have had enough snow and other clubs around here are grooming. It's odd that in past years, north, east and west of this club were able to groom with the snow that they had. I would really like to get out on their trails again.

Maybe they need a groomer operator?? I haven't owned a sled for a long time, but grooming trails would be an interesting job to help out. Or maybe the club doesn't have a machine??

A friend sent me a picture and said that the trail is groomed and marked from Brandon to Rivers.

The snow south of Rapid City did not lend itself to signing (and grooming) the last two years 2014-15, and 2015-16. This is much like the rest of SW Manitoba.  
 
Club members have been busy signing the trails over the last 5 days and packing passes have been completed. Trails should be officially opening by Friday (Jan 6th). Please check the Snoman website to confirm which trails (hopefully all) are open.

If you ever want more info, or are willing to attend a meeting or volunteer in other capacities, pass me a PM. Club meetings are held in Rivers on the 1st Tuesday of every winter month (ironically, last night was a meeting).

They are looking for an operator. If you want to volunteer there's a phone number posted in the warming shack.

Just got home from running from Brandon to the east loop to Rivers and home going the west loop. There are a few small changes from the past years but this is the best I have ever seen any trails, well marked and groomed for a smooth ride. Good Job Valleyview Sno-Riders. Going to try the north trail tomorrow. Nice to see a few sleds out. Families using the warming shack and cooking up a snack.

This is news to me for Valleyview. Which shelter did you see the sign in?

A couple of things, I don't live in that area, closer to Plap, and secondly, I don't have a sled to get to the warming shack to get the phone number. Appreciate the suggestion though, maybe someone else will help out if this is still needed?
