We have a couple of spots on our ceiling that will need to be repaired. We are removing some upper cabinets and a closet that did not have the original ceiling. Wonder who might be able to do a small job like this. We were going to do it ourselves but are concerned that we won't be able to get a nice match and transition.

I patched mine up with pollyfilla. I mixed the pollyfilla fairly thick and used a sponge to pull it down. I did not have much to do and after painting the whole ceiling it was not to bad. You could try a little piece and if your not happy you could scrape it off.

I think canadian tire might sell some spray stipple in a can.

I did something similar to “whiskers “ but instead of poly filla I used drywall mud and I used a very thick piled paint roller, the kind you use on stucco. I put the mud on the ceiling first with a trowel, then I rolled it out with the roller and just worked it till it was the right texture to match the rest. I rolled it into the rest of the ceiling to blend it in to make it match better, then I painted it. Good luck.

in a can works pretty good. as whiskers says. if your not happy scrap it off and try again.
