We are outside of town and filling the pool with well water. Any suggestions or tip that you all use for keeping clean on well water. Chlorine ? Salt ?

Take a water sample down to Creasy’s. They will tell you what you need

I would attach a sediment filter at discharge to collect any foreign debris.

Filled the pool with well water once. Never again! It went 4 different shades of green and took a week to sort out with a variety of chemicals.

It was cheaper to have Well on Wheels come with a load to fill the pool than pay for the chemicals. Maybe it was because our water was hard?

We had to use a 'metal remover' first otherwise when we put chlorine in it would go bright orange. Also would then go shades of green and needed a lot of algeacide sp?. If you must fill with well water, then as above, take a sample to Creaseys. We needed so many different chemicals, it wasn't worth the cost (or hassle).
