We had to use a 'metal remover' first otherwise when we put chlorine in it would go bright orange. Also would then go shades of green and needed a lot of algeacide sp?. If you must fill with well water, then as above, take a sample to Creaseys. We needed so many different chemicals, it wasn't worth the cost (or hassle).
