We are considering a home security system and was wondering what suggestions and experiences people have had.  
We do not have a landline so it will have to be a cellular hook up and are looking for one doorbell cam, one remote lock, one possibly two outdoor cameras, three door switches and possibly a motion sensor or other alternative for inside a garage. Remote access and notifications preferred.  
 
Any recommendations and why you recommend them? Customer service obviously is a big selling point.

If you happen to have internet with MTS, that runs on a landline that the security company can tap into

I have an iSmart system installed. Look it up on line. It's an internet based smart home compatible system. It's totally customizable and easy to take with you when you move. It's not monitored but an alarm can trigger a text phone call and email notification within a minute or.two. Everything can be controlled from the app including a pan and zoom camera

The best service and knowledge you’ll find, is Westman Security. They can do security, automation, monitoring, cameras, etc.

I have used Summus not only for my house buy my SO and my business. Second to none.  
 
I have also installed Swann security cameras (At Bestbuy & Canadian Tire) Easy to install and you can monitor it via internet (if you have it) Security Cameras give huge peace of mind. I installed it due to Ex. It is very clear and of records up to a months worth of activity.

Works great. Can watch live and record for play back on phone.  
Has a siren for motion and or text to phone. Has high and low temp warnings. Humidity and sound dB settings. All can be set. No monthly fee. Simple to set up. Around that $225. Uses wifi. Have several of them.

I have had Summus for about 5 years now, competitive pricing and great service. Very happy with my service and the system, so would highly recommend!
