Who has the best quality in Brandon?

Don’t quote me but I think most of the lumber yard have the same business they buy from.

I got mine st home hardware and was told you have to watch because some places it's a coating and not actually pressured right through but they said there's was. I built a fence all around my yard last summer and in the year and a half it still looks brand new.

Treatment does not soak into the heartwood of a tree so don’t believe everything they tell you

Didnt say it soaked in it's exactly as it says its forced into a soft wood via pressure but what he said was some places dont actually pressurize it through the wood and it's just a coating basically like stain that's why it's cheaper. Now this completely makes sense and i 100% dont doubt a lot of these places do that and weither or not there's is actually pressure treated or not well i couldn't tell you all I'm saying is after a year and a half she looks as good as the day i put it in.

2 types. ACQ and PWF. ACQ is the common for decks and fences. PWF will have small perforations in the wood where the chemical treatment is injected into the wood. These are normally used where there is a lot of potential moisture.

I worked at Home Depot and with the new style of pressure treated wood it fooled some people. The new process uses a clear chemical that is safer than the old green treatment used before (couldn't use around gardens) the new style is clear but has a brown coating that helps with the look of it. The process uses a stronger and higher pressure technique that gets the full board treated but it still looks natural like regular wood. Also the lumber there is a J-grade (top quality) processed in Neepawa.
