Slab foundation

I am thinking about building an addition, approximately 200 sq feet.
Does anyone have a cost estimate for an engineer to design a foundation? The house in on a slab foundation.

Estimating a new build or addition I've heard it was a good rule of thumb to use $125 a square foot to estimate what it would cost. Looking at the size you have it would estimate to be $25,000. But again lots of factors to get a true number. Best to contact a contractor and have them take a look.

I am just looking for an engineers stamp for the slab not the addition itself. Hopefully it is a lot less than $125 sq foot

Going to Brandon Area and Planning at speak with one of the inspectors. They will tell you what you need and should have some recommendations of engineers for stamped foundation.

Have to get the slab drawn up showing the rebar placement, stirup details by a draftsman or the engineer would maybe do the drawing for you.

I am in the field of drafting and I am guessing that you are looking around the neighbourhood of 600.00 for both
