a few of my neighbors and I have had frozen water pipes in the ground for two weeks now! super inconvenient when you have kids. can’t get any help from Murrays or Unplug and plumbers in Brandon don’t want to deal with it. who else can i call?! we’re in a mobile park. owner of park not interested in helping. residential tenancies branch not helping. any other local companies who can unthaw pipes?

Have you tried contacting the city of BRANDON water department? If it’s city water pipes frozen I think they would have to look after that.

Since you're in a mobile home park, the infrastructure is all private. City won't do anything.

Are you talking about water supply coming in or waste water going out?  
What does your rental/lease agreement state regarding responsibility for services?  
I imagine that you as lessee are liable from plot edge to home but where would your landlords liability lie, presumably from edge of his land to water main supply line.  
Has anyone confirmed exactly where the pipes are frozen?

What mobile homes park are you in? Are you sure the utility operator is aware of it being frozen? Owner and utility operator is not always one and the same

Your pipes are probably frozen underneath your trailer, you will probably need the plumber to put more heat tape on them after they thaw them out. It’s going to be an expensive touch, but it is your responsibility, not the park owners

That is probably what is going on. The only way I can see multiple people with frozen underground lines if they are all together. If it is the person 3 doors down or another row over with frozen pipes and not directly in a row next to each other then yea line to trailer. If in a group then I can see a frozen line. I had my tape go just before I was going to replace it. $500 bill for 45 feet of heat tape I paid last year when it was these temps.

yes, no incoming water. i had Westside plumbing out to confirm that its not my house. its the lines in the ground. its several of us side by side so it still could be our individual lines that connect to the main line. if we own our home then we are responsible for fixing it apparently even though we rent the lot. yes the owner and management company are very aware as most people have been dealing with frozen sewer pipes all winter as well.

You are now saying sewer, is this the sewer or water? No sewer line should freeze even in exposed cold air if it’s slopes properly unless you have a leaking fixture such as toilet or tap. What park are you in? If it’s in brandon contact your utility provider not the park owner

So I’m pretty sure I read about your trailer park on Facebook (Real Westman), and I got more information from that thread. If it’s the main sewer line to the park, that should be up to your landlord to cover, not you or your neighbours. The pictures I saw of the overflowing toilets and bathtubs were appalling. So unsanitary! You guys shouldn’t have to live like that. I assumed it was just frozen pipes directly under your trailer and thought of heat tape and better skirting. But it seems much worse than that. I wish nothing but the best luck to you and your neighbours

Ok so if it is the sewer line has nobody been in touch with public health officers? In view of children involved I am sure that they would be able to get something done.  
Do you have a tenants association on the site? If so what measures have they taken?  
Somehow I feel we are only getting part of the story.
