Does know how to wire an electric furnace to run on only one element for a work shop

The furnace normally starts up on one or two elements. Then the others are turned on through sequencers. You would have to disconnect the sequencers from the secondary elements. But why even bother ? The furnace would just bring the room up to temp quicker and not run as long. Not as if you would be saving on power. Only logical reason would be if you wanted to get by with running a smaller wire to feed the furnace. But then why bother? Just have a smaller heater.

What he said. Your electric furnace is probably 10kw. A little construction heater is 4.8kw and takes  
up a LOT less space.
