Copper sewer skewers

I have seen these advertised. Just wondering if they actually work. Might prevent having to go up on the roof to unplug frozen sewer stacks. Thanks

Seen them used in North Dakota. It’s just a few pieces of soldered copper pipe....

Copper is excellent at transferring heat, so the question would be how much of your sewer stack is in a cold area, if the sewer stack was extra long in a cold attic, results likely could be disappointing.

heat tape

Put heat a heat tape down the vent & haven’t had a freeze up in three years.
