Old tins of paint

I have some old tins of paint and carpet glue I would like to get rid of. I know they have a drop off at the city yard 2 time a year on a Sat, but for last 2 years I had to work on that day. Is there some where else to take them, I'm getting sick of tripping over them, they must go?
