Looking at doing a rtm and a new basement this summer. Wondering if anyone knows the rough costs now a days per sq ft to have a rtm built and what a new basement costs.

When I looked into it about 2 years ago a basement was $30000-$60000 and the RTMs were around $200000 for one pre built

A barndominium is built on a slab, no stairs to deal with. last fall we priced one (building, cement and finishes) to be about 300k. this was for a 42 x 80 building..42 x 50 was house and 42 x 30 was 3 car garage. Built with a post frame, ño inner support walls are required giving room flexibility.

With the price of concrete basements are a bit more expensive now than they were a few years ago but they do have resale appeal as well.  
If it is an out of town build I'd recommend talking to the folks at CL van Veen/NKM Homes out of Rapid City.  
The build quality and communication with them is incredible and they put the same level of workmanship into their RTM's as they do their custom builds. Very customer service oriented and do not cut corners.

Ya I've been in contact with them there. They seem very reasonable with costs and everything. Just still figuring out if they can move a house the size I want, or if some will have to he constructed on-site.

A barnfominium has metal siding and roof so virtually maintenance free for an extended period. Prairie Podt offers a wide variety of colours. Our price Aldo i:nclude a covered veranda the full length of building

Prairie Post, and also 10 ft roof overhang to create verandah full 80ft

Don't forget to add in all the " small stuff" . The cost of the lot.  
Sod or planting seed in yard front & back. Fence if you want it. Finishing off the basement. Lots of fun. Lol

Oh ya all the "small stuff " definitely will add up. Luckily we're situated on around 15 acres of land already just outside Brandon. I'll be meeting with goodon and prairie post this week, on a house/barndo plan and go from there. Our water table is quite high out there so not sure doing a basement or building a loft style second floor inside the barndo
