I am wanting to get a push manual lawn mower (not gas or electric) sharpened. does anyone know who does this type of work? thank you

Try Iron Age Welding. I saw on face book that they sharpen lawnmower blades and they may be able to help you with this.

I haven't been able to find anyone in town with a proper high end sharpener. They all seem to use an angle or bench grinder which is adequate but not as good.

Sorry just reread your post as you have an old style reel mower. I think a metal file is best for you.

buy a 10 dollar file from a home improvement store... file straight across along the curve... takes 20 minutes.
