ok, so my mom cleans house for a living and she told me the way she cleans bath tubs. I've always hated cleaning the tub - it's messy, wet, uncomfortable and the cleaning stuff burns my eyes and nose....  
 
so, the solution....  
 
Use one of those micro fiber cloths and use your DISH SOAP!! just put a little soap on the micro cloth and wash your tub down, then rinse it off. It comes out squeaky clean, no harsh chemicals, better for the environment (I use "green" dish soap) and it cleans excellent! I used to have some staining on my caulking from getting a little mildewy - and now it's sparkling white after cleaning it about 4 times this way.  
 
I actually do this while I'm IN the shower - I bought one of those shower heads that you can "turn off" while you're using it - only takes a few minutes and it's done!
