we have one. Its not a really a cheaper heating source, especially if your using it as your primary source. The pellets are roughly $5-6 per bag and we go through a bag every 2 days on average. But we also have electric baseboards running so it isn't our primary heating. It is definitely a nice heat though, and no smoke smell to go with it. Watch though if you do get one, your insurance does go up quite a bit. Get it WETT inspected and it goes down some but still a good hike on your costs. Overall we enjoy ours on the real cold days, but last winter we hardly used it at all. Would I install another one in a different house? probably not, but we have it now so we use it lol.
